Privacy policy

Rattil Quran does not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

• Location. If you allow it, your location is used on the device to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. It is never sent to us or anyone else. You can choose a city instead.
• Your reading. Bookmarks, notes, reading progress, Khatmah plans, tasbih counts and settings are saved only on your device.
• Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

Content downloaded by the app

To show tafsir, hadith and recitations, the app downloads them from public content services (Quran.com, QuranicAudio, mp3quran.net, the Hadith API on jsDelivr). Like any web request, these services receive your IP address and basic device information as part of the request. The app sends them nothing about you: no identifiers, no location, no account.

This website

• The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising.
• If you choose to see prayer times for where you are, your browser works them out from your location on your own device. The location is not sent to us.
• Your theme, tasbih count and prayer alert settings (including the place you choose, rounded to about a kilometre) are kept in your browser’s storage, on your device. They are never sent to us.
• Recitations play from mp3quran.net, which receives your IP address and basic browser information when the audio loads, like any web request.

Children

The app and website are suitable for all ages and collect no data from anyone, including children.
